About the Researcher
My name is Philip Clark, and I am a writer, editor, and librarian living near Washington D.C.
Broadly, my research, writing, and editing focuses on historical reclamation of GLBT history and literature. Even now, GLBT people and the places and events in their lives are too often lost to history owing to active covering up or passive neglect. All my projects are dedicated to illuminating and providing context for understanding GLBT people’s experiences.
My essays and reviews have appeared in numerous anthologies, magazines, and journals. My previous books are Persistent Voices: Poetry by Writers Lost to AIDS (Alyson Books, 2010) and In the Empire of the Air: The Poems of Donald Britton (Nightboat Books, 2016).
